Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics
A career in the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics cluster will be involved in planning, managing, and providing scientific research and professional and technical services including laboratory and testing services, and research and development services.
The State of Illinois has not formally released the Knowledge and Skill Statements in the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Cluster and its associated pathways. If your local program area wishes to pursue the development and implementation of a Program of Study in this area, please refer to the knowledge and skills that have been developed nationally by visiting the Career Clusters website at www.careerclusters.org and select the "16 Career Clusters" tab to review knowledge and skills developed in this area at this time. As soon as the state has formally reviewed the knowledge and skills within this cluster and associated pathways, documentation will be posted for local areas to begin using for their program development.
