Architecture & Construction
The Architecture and Construction cluster prepares individuals for careers in designing, planning, managing, building, and maintaining the built environment. Individuals pursuing a career in the Architecture and Construction cluster work on new structures, restorations, additions, alterations, and repairs.
The State of Illinois has not formally released the Knowledge and Skill Statements in the Architecture & Construction Cluster and its associated pathways. If your local program area wishes to pursue the development and implementation of a Program of Study in this area, please refer to the knowledge and skills that have been developed nationally by visiting the Career Clusters website at www.careerclusters.org and select the "16 Career Clusters" tab to review knowledge and skills developed in this area at this time. As soon as the state has formally reviewed the knowledge and skills within this cluster and associated pathways, documentation will be posted for local areas to begin using for their program development.
