Hospitality & Tourism
The Hospitality & Tourism Cluster prepares learners for careers in the management, marketing and operations of restaurants and other food services, lodging, attractions, recreational events and travel-related services. Hospitality operations are located in communities throughout the world.
The State of Illinois has not formally released the Knowledge and Skill Statements in the Hospitality & Tourism Cluster and its associated pathways. If your local program area wishes to pursue the development and implementation of a Program of Study in this area, please refer to the knowledge and skills that have been developed nationally by visiting the Career Clusters website at www.careerclusters.org and select the "16 Career Clusters" tab to review knowledge and skills developed in this area at this time. As soon as the state has formally reviewed the knowledge and skills within this cluster and associated pathways, documentation will be posted for local areas to begin using for their program development.
